The MedTech Leadership Program is a rich education program developed and run by the experts at the New England Medical Innovation Center (NEMIC), based on in-depth research and combined decades of professional experience in the MedTech industry.
The program begins with an overview of the basics + trends of the MedTech industry, before delving deep into the process of turning an idea into a product ready for market. This is delivered through 55+ hours of seminars led by real industry professionals, hands-on workshops, and 1 on 1 advisory hours.
No other program offers this holistic view of regulated medical technology development, best commercialization practices, and business leadership strategies for regulated medical technologies.
The MedTech Leadership Program curriculum was designed based upon firsthand research and interviews with industry professionals, CEOs, venture capitalists, angel investors, and seasoned MedTech entrepreneurs. (more about our curriculum research here)
The goal was to provide aspiring entrepreneurs and MedTech professionals with the complete picture of how to bring a regulated medical device or digital health product to market, whilst avoiding the common pitfalls inherent to the commercialization process.

SEPTEMBER 2024 – APRIL 2025
All classes are held on Monday evenings from 6-8 pm. There will be 2-4 classes per month over the course of the program
Workshops are held on Saturday mornings from 9 am-12 pm. There will be 5 workshop sessions

Classes + workshops will be held in-person at CIC, virtually via Zoom, and using NEMIC Virtual Classroom.
Office hours will be held virtually via Zoom or in-person at the NEMIC offices in CIC.

Participants must be a Rhode Island resident, employed by a RI-based organization, or a student of a RI academic institution to benefit from free tuition.
Participants must complete the entire program (all classes and workshops) to graduate with a completion certificate
